Last Visit with Last Daughter

Elder and Sister Shurtliff went to Provo a little early to visit with their youngest daughter, Lindsey and her family.

Derrick and Lindsey threw a BBQ for family to come down and say goodbye. David's two sisters and their families were able to come as well as Jean's mother, sister, and a brother. David's nephew also came who served a mission in Denmark and told David all about it!

Lindsey blessed their new daughter, Claire. Grandma and Grandpa were able to attend!
Grandpa Dave has a magic touch. He holds a baby and they fall and stay asleep!

(This is David holding Lindsey in the same outfit years before.)

Lindsey dropped them off at the MTC June 6th.

Then they came home for the weekend to play with their grand kids one last time.

They also went to see the Little Mermaid at the Scera outdoor theater in Orem.

And went on walks with the grand kids.

On Sunday they made time to [skype] with every one of their kids and their families one last time before heading out of the country!

And then Lindsey dropped them off again at the MTC gates.

But if that wasn't enough, we thought we should go out for ice cream Wednesday evening at the Creamery. (Their idea, just for the record.) They are allowed to leave the MTC, unlike the teenage-missionaries.

Grandma and Grandpa said they were glad to come because Teddy loved to see them and gave them lots of hugs. They were so happy that he warmed up to them over these visits!

This is Teddy giving Grandpa his Father's Day card, a sticker "drawing", and a family picture.

They sure are going to miss our kids and we will miss them loving on our kids!

Good luck on your mission!!!
